Our Managing Partner, Rotimi Ogunyemi has been appointed as Co-chair of the Digital NBA Committee. The Committee is tasked with the responsibility of engendering a digital transformation of the NBA in a manner that is consistent with technological developments in the 21st century. It will amongst other things work to develop and implement the strategies and roadmap for transforming the NBA into a digital-first association and an innovation-driven Bar.

On the 21st September 2019 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Our Managing Partner participated as a speaker in a legal masterclass where he demystified BLOCKCHAIN AND SMART CONTRACTS to Young Lawyers and Law Students in a simplified and exciting manner.
The Young Wigs Conference was convened by Inemesit Joy Dike Esq., a legal practitioner and member of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and the New York Bar, United States of America. It was designed to bridge the skills gap between young, upwardly mobile lawyers and the realities of the practise of law while encouraging innovation and creative skills for effective use of technology in today’s legal sphere. The theme for the 2019 Young Wigs Conference is “What Law School Doesn’t Teach You: Divergence!”
On September 19th 2019, Rotimi Ogunyemi participated in a Roundtable session in the Legal & Tech Network Summit Themed Addressing Technological Disruption in Law and Business. The Regulatory Roundtable moderated by Nankunda Katangaza, Founder ALT Network explored “Big Data, IoT and AI: The role of regulation and education in creating sustainable impact and balancing the benefit and risk of technological disruption”
The Roundtable also included Senator Ihenyen Lead Partner Infusion Lawyers, Naomi Amobi Legal Counsel Paystack Nigeria, and Chidi Nwaogu Co-Founder & Ceo Publiseer.
The summit brought together legal jurists, legal practitioners, legal technologists, academicians, law students, the Nigerian and wider African tech ecosystem and other stakeholders.
On Monday 12th August 2019, Rotimi Ogunyemi and Akintunde Idowu represented our firm at the exhibition of the newly improved legal resources of law pavilion.
Guests at the demo day participated in an interactive session about tech trends that can facilitate digital transformation and improved Practice efficiency, and also witnessed a demonstration of the newest products of Law Pavillion using THE NAGAMOTO RETAINER story. The products include AI SUITE, SOLICITORS AND ARBITRATORS TOOLKIT, CASE MANAGER, LAW PAVILLION PRIME and TIMI (Legal Research Assistant.
The event held at the Experience Centre at 20, Felicia Koleosho Street, Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos, and was concluded with a private cocktail and networking session.
On 1st August 2019 at Jos, Nigeria, Our Managing Partner Rotimi Ogunyemi, participated as a speaker at the 2019 World Legal Summit where he presented a paper titled: Data Security and Privacy in a Digital Society: Technological and Legal Perspectives.
The World Legal Summit is a multi-party initiative that brings jurisdictions together in understanding and exploring the development of legislative frameworks for dealing with emerging technologies and global systems. The theme of the Summit centred on Identity and Governance, Autonomous Machines, Cyber Security & Personal Data.

On 20th June 2019 at the City Hall Lagos, our Managing Partner, Rotimi Ogunyemi moderated a panel session titled “Emerging Trends in Technology and Innovation” that featured other distinguished members like Mr. Kingsley Eze, Mr. Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Mrs. Omowale David-Ashiru, Mr. Tunde Kehinde, and Dr. Andrew Nevin at the 2019 Annual Lagos week.
